MAD's proposal was inspired by Chinese traditional gardens. It explores the possibility of integrating the traditional aristic conception into public toilets in traditional hutong neighborhood. With the aim to create the harmony between the nature and human, the hutong public toilets are reformed from a sole function unit to a micro garden that can on one hand satisfy its functional use with advanced sustainable technique,on the other hand can create visual beauty and a sense of dynamics for the communities.
