  • Senior Architect
    Beijing, China

    -Senior Designer

     

    The opportunity for you:

     

    You will be involved in the design, architectural and technical aspects as well as parts of the overall project management through the entire design process from concept to constructed reality.

    You will develop, represent and communicate project packages internally and externally with clarity, design sensitivity, and a sound understanding of technical feasibility.

    You will be offered the opportunity to take on a key role in the design and project development within MAD.

    You have worked for at least 10 years in-depth, post-qualification leading international architecture firms, have succeeded as a Senior Designer, and have profound team management experience on a series of complex large-scale mixed-use, cultural, civic and hospitality projects through all stages of design to construction.

    You combine strong aesthetic design sensitivity with thorough technical knowledge and managerial experience, and are a clear and precise communicator.

    You bring extensive expertise in construction drawing and detailing, are well versed in building systems and materials, and demonstrate a profound knowledge of practice and industry standards and codes.

    You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, enjoy imparting your knowledge and contributing to multiple teams, and have exemplary time management and delivery skills.

    You are skilled in AutoCAD, and possess working knowledge of Rhino, ideally also of Maya. You are fluent in English, with business level Mandarin and other business level language skills a plus.

     

    -Senior Technical Architect

    You will be involved in the architectural and technical aspects as well as parts of the overall project management through the entire design process from concept to constructed reality.

    You will introduce and communicate innovative technical design solutions internally and externally with clarity, design sensitivity, and a sound understanding of applicability, and develop them into details fit for construction.

    You will be offered the opportunity to advance our technical quality standards and take on a key role in the project development within MAD.

    You have working knowledge of architectural drawing and detailing, and demonstrate clear understanding of building systems and materials as well as practice and industry standards and codes.

    You thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, enjoy contributing to your team, are flexible, and able to set priorities in order to deliver accurately and on time.

    You are highly skilled in AutoCAD, Rhino and Adobe CS, with a sound working knowledge of Maya and Revit a plus. You are fluent in English, with business level Mandarin and other business level language skills a plus.

  • Junior Architect

  • Researcher/Editor
    Beijing, China

     The opportunity for you:

    MAD pays great attention to academic development. This position is open year-round. In this role, you will work closely with the partners, to research, document, archive, comb and write the firm’s academic and theoretical review, to organize and dive into the root and details, the main design philosophy and statement of every projects. Ideally to be involve or lead the publication plan and production, or exhibition curation in the future.

     

    Key Skills to Success:

    Major in architectural design, with master degree or above. Oversea study experience is a plus. BA in Arch, MA with other major is also applicable.

    Rich knowledge in art history, philosophy, architectural history is a must. With profound insights and unique opinion is a plus.

    Know and understand mad’s past practice and theoretical content, and somehow can agree partially or totally.

    Bilingual is a must. Great language skills that can write in-depth article in both English and mandarin.

    No strict request regarding work experience. Still you should be socially developed working professional that has communication skills and spirit of teamwork.

  • Intern Architect
