  • Senior Architect
    Beijing, China

    -Senior Architect

    The opportunity for you:

    You will be involved in the design, architectural and technical aspects as well as parts of the overall project management through the entire design process from concept to constructed reality.

    You will develop, represent and communicate project packages internally and externally with clarity, design sensitivity, and a sound understanding of technical feasibility.

    You will be offered the opportunity to take on a key role in the design and project development within MAD.

    2. Have worked for at least 10 years in-depth, post-qualification leading international architecture firms, and have succeeded as a Senior Architect on a series of complex large-scale mixed-use, cultural, civic and hospitality projects through all stages of design to construction.
    3. Combine strong aesthetic design sensitivity with thorough technical knowledge and managerial experience, and are a clear and precise communicator.
    4. Bring extensive expertise in construction drawing and detailing, are well versed in building systems and materials, and demonstrate a profound knowledge of practice and industry standards and codes.
    5. Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, enjoy imparting your knowledge and contributing to multiple teams, and have exemplary time management and delivery skills.
    6. Are skilled in AutoCAD, and possess working knowledge of Rhino, ideally also of Maya. You are fluent in English, with business level Mandarin and other business level language skills a plus.

     

    -Senior Technical Architect

    You will be involved in the architectural and technical aspects as well as parts of the overall project management through the entire design process from concept to constructed reality.

    You will introduce and communicate innovative technical design solutions internally and externally with clarity, design sensitivity, and a sound understanding of applicability, and develop them into details fit for construction.

    You will be offered the opportunity to advance our technical quality standards and take on a key role in the project development within MAD.

  • Interior Designers

    1. Are a globally-minded individual with an excellent academic background (Bachelor in Interior Design or a related field of study from an internationally recognized school) and an outgoing, proactive and positive attitude.
    2. Have a track record of at least 3 years in-depth post-qualification involvement in leading international architecture or interior design firms, as a key contributor to the interior design of complex large-scale mixed-use, residential, hospitality, cultural or civic projects through all stages of design to construction.
    3. Combine strong aesthetic design sensitivity with sound technical and materials knowledge, and are a clear communicator. You are able to compile thorough research packages for concepts, materials and products, and are able to articulate your ideas and results precisely, comprehensibly, and in a graphically engaging way.
    4. Have working knowledge of interior design layouts and detailing, are well versed in current materials and FF+E trends, and demonstrate clear understanding of common practice and industry standards and codes.
    5. Thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, enjoy contributing to your team, are flexible, and able to set priorities in order to deliver accurately and on time.

    The opportunity for you:

    MAD pays great attention to academic development. This position is open year-round. In this role, you will work closely with the partners, to research, document, archive, comb and write the firm’s academic and the oretical review, to organize and dive into the root and details, the main design philosophy and statement of every projects.

    1. Major in architectural design, with master degree or above. Oversea study experience is a plus. BA in Arch, MA with other major is also applicable.

    1. Rich knowledge in art history, philosophy, architectural history is a must. With profound insights and unique opinion is a plus.
    2. Know and understand mad’s past practice and the oretical content, and somehow can agree partially or totally.
    3. Bilingual is a must. Great language skills that can write in-depth article in both English and mandarin.
    4. No strict request regarding work experience. Still you should be socially developed working professional that has communication skills and spirit of teamwork.
