MAD Architects named 2012 WAN21 winner


World Architecture News today announced MAD Architects as a winner of the WAN21 awards. The awards aim to highlight outstanding, forward-thinking people and organizations who have demonstrated the potential to be the next big thing in the architectural world. 

The jurors expressed their delight on seeing the wide variety of works presented during the running for the awards, and looked for architects whose directional ideas are helping to shape the future of architecture, whilst keeping within the boundaries of commercial viability and sustainability. Originality, innovation, form and special quality, sustainability and context were major criteria of the awards. Overall the panel stated the winners have shown the ambition, drive and ability to impact the nature of architecture over the course of the 21st century.
